Objectives: | Diploma Project is the final project of your educational experience in the architectural design studios, leading to the Graduate Diploma in Architecture. The Diploma Project connects architectural theory and practice through the advanced study of professional and cultural issues that give purpose and meaning to design. The students are expected to go through a design process by adding the knowledge, skills and experience gained in whole undergraduate architectural education. An architectural interpretation by evaluating the different scales and contexts of the urban and architectural levels is expected in your design. |
Content: | The course will address complex architectural organization in terms of function, context, structure, formal expression and other aspects of buildings and spaces for human use. This course investigates the relationship of buildings and spaces to the public realm through the development of an urban design plan and a complex building intervention. Coursework includes advanced design research, urban analysis and study of the social and physical attributes of public space. |
