Objectives and Contents

Objectives: From the Prehistoric Period to the Renaissance Period in the Historical Process, to explore, introduce, teach, compare and interpret the development of the stages of art in the Mediterranean Environment Civilizations and Europe. This course aims at general competence as well as the following: Rational, Interrogating, Ethical Rationalization, Respecting Differences, Critical Thinking, Abstract Analysis and Synthesis, Interdisciplinary Projects
Content: Birth of Prehistoric Age and Art. Monumental Remains, Paintings, I. and II.Hayvan Uslubu, The Oldest Sculpture Examples, Portable Small Artifacts. Art in Mesopotamian Civilizations, Art of Egypt, Anatolian Civilizations, Aegean Civilizations, Cycladic Islands and Crete (Early, Middle and Late Minos), Greek Art of Mythology, Architecture, Sculpture and Ceramic Works and Art of Painting Etruscan and Roman Art (Architecture, Sculpture, Early Christian and Byzantine art. It is the examination, introduction and interpretation of the examples of Art, Roma and Gothic Art in Europe in the Middle Ages.
