Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of machining and the machining processes used in the industrial field. It also aims to equip students with the ability to apply their knowledge and skills.
Content: It covers the subjects of historical and economic importance of manufacturing, giving general information about manufacturing methods and examining their types, basic manual operations, measuring and control, drilling operations, knowing drilling machines and connecting them on drilling machines, reaming and reaming types, die types and the sequence of operations in die making, knowing milling cutters and examining milling cutter types, dividing operations in milling, cutting tool information and tool selection, cutting speed and revolution calculation, lathe types and knowing the parts of lathe machines, basic turning operations.
