Objectives and Contents

Objectives: This course aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in basic health information and first aid. Students will become conscious about identifying health problems, performing first aid practices and emergency management. In addition, the ability to act in accordance with health and safety standards will be developed.
Content: Basic Health Information: Introduction to body systems, basic diseases, health indicators and common health problems. Emergencies and First Aid: What to do in emergency health situations such as wounds and bleeding, fainting, heart attack, respiratory arrest, fractures and dislocations. First Aid Techniques: Basic first aid methods, CPR, heart massage, intervention in injuries, shock, poisoning and drowning. Emergency Management: Necessary briefings during the flight, communication with emergency health services on the ground and health management at the scene. Health Safety and Preventive Measures: Health safety procedures, use of first aid kits and the importance of personal hygiene.
