Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to observe and apply commonly used physical modalities and understand their effects on tissues.
Content: This course covers tissue repair, pain mechanisms, and the effects of physical modalities used in treatment. It includes an introduction to the basic concepts of electrotherapy, electrophysiological principles, the electrical properties of cells and tissues, nerve activations, and the effects of muscle stimulation. Additionally, it provides an understanding of galvanic and faradic current applications, pain management, and the characteristics and observation of TENS, diadynamic current, interferential current, Russian current, and microcurrents.
