| Objectives: |
It’s aimed to gain knowledge, skills, and attitudes regarding the importance of maternal and child nutrition, the physiological changes and nutritional requirements during pregnancy and lactation, infant nutrition in the 0–1 year period (breast milk, complementary feeding, and infant formulas), age-specific energy and nutrient requirements from preschool through school age and adolescence and the basic approaches to nutrition planning, and the identification of common nutrition-related problems in the mother–child period and the development of solution recommendations. |

The importance of maternal and child nutrition worldwide and in Türkiye, physiological changes and energy and nutrient requirements during pregnancy and lactation, nutrition planning in pregnancy and lactation, the importance of breast milk and breastfeeding principles within infant nutrition (0–1 year), transition to complementary feeding, infant formulas and nutrition planning, growth and developmental characteristics of the preschool, school-age, and adolescent periods, energy and nutrient requirements in these periods and developing a nutrition plan, common nutrition-related problems and related assessment, monitoring, and solution recommendations, case examples. |
