Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable the students to learn the process of control of automatic airplane wiring lines by establishing advanced production processes, programming machines, production machines and lines.
Content: Analysis of automated systems used in advanced production processes, Interpretation of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical schematics and their combinations, Fundamentals of production automation, Pneumatic automation, Hydraulic automation, Electrical and electronic automation, Integration of flexible systems: Cells, lines and flexible production systems, Computerized manufacturing (CIM ), Energy forms used in automatic, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, Electrical equipment, technical safety issues, Energy and information flows in electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic sub-assemblies, Computing systems, Commissioning, troubleshooting and repair.
