The course explores the linguistic, ethical, technological, economic, and
sociocultural dimensions of translation, preparing students to operate effectively in
professional multilingual environments. The course also encourages critical
reflection on the translator’s role as a linguistic mediator, cultural agent, and ethical
professional in increasingly automated translation ecosystems. |

By the end of this course, students will be able to apply key translation theories and
concepts to analyze linguistic, cultural, and communicative challenges in translation,
evaluate ethical issues in translation practice and make informed professional
decisions based on established ethical principles and codes of conduct. And fınally
they strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving, and reflective practice skills
through the analysis of authentic translation cases and professional scenarios. |
