AMAÇ VE İÇERİK
Amaç:	Bu dersin amacı, öğrencilere, enfeksiyon kontrolündeki teknikler, teçhizatlar ve kullanımları ile ilgili temel bilgileri kullanarak diş hekimliğindeki çapraz enfeksiyonları analiz eder, bu enfeksiyonlardan korunmak için ilgili önlemleri alır.
İçerik:	dersin içeriği, enfeksiyon kontrolü, çapraz enfeksiyon, bulaşıcı hastalıklar, kesici ve delici alet yaralanmaları, sterilizasyon ve dezenfeksiyon, klinik ve laboratuvarda enfeksiyon kontrolü kuralları, diş üniti su sistemleri, muayenehane temizliği ve tıbbi atık yönetimini kapsamaktadır.

DERSİN ÖĞRENME ÇIKTILARI (Öğrenciler, bu dersi başarı ile tamamladıklarında aşağıda belirtilen bilgi, beceri ve/veya yetkinlikleri gösterirler.) Öğrenciler klinik pratik ortamlarındaki çapraz enfeksiyon geçiş yollarını yorumlar. Öğrenciler uygun koruma yöntemleri ve dekontaminasyon yöntemleri ile çapraz enfeksiyonu önleyici uygulamalar bir araya getirir. Öğrenciler belirtilen araçları ve yöntemleri kullanarak toplum sağlığını ve çalışanlarının sağlığını koruyucu önlemleri uygular. Öğrenciler belirtilen gelişmiş teknikler için uygun cihazları için seçebilir. Öğrenciler çapraz enfeksiyon ile oluşan enfeksiyonları ilişkilendirir.
