AMAÇ VE İÇERİK
Amaç:	Bu dersin amacı, öğrencilere, çocuk diş hekimliği ile ilgili temel bilgileri öğreterek, öğrencilerin çocuk hastalarda karşılaşılan dental hastalıklar ve tedavi yöntemleri hakkında bilgi ve becerisi kazandırmaktır.
İçerik:	Bu dersin içeriği, süt dişlerinin özellikleri, çocuk diş hekimliğinde kullanılan dental materyaller, süt dişlerinde restoratif ve endodontik tedaviler konularını kapsamaktadır.

DERSİN ÖĞRENME ÇIKTILARI (Öğrenciler, bu dersi başarı ile tamamladıklarında aşağıda belirtilen bilgi, beceri ve/veya yetkinlikleri gösterirler.)

Çocuk diş hekimliği ile ilişkili kavramları açıklar. Çocuk diş hekimliği uygulamalarını analiz eder. Diş gelişimi hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Diş çürüğünü ve özelliklerini tanımlar. Çocuklarda restoratif ve endodontik tedaviler tanımlar, çocuk hastada hangi tedaviyi uygulayacağını seçer. Çocuk diş hekimliğinde kullanılan materyalleri isimlendirir. Malzemeleri kullanım alanına göre sınıflandırır. Hastaların fiziksel muayenesi, tıbbi durumların semptom ve işaretlerinin tanımlanıp değerlendirilmesi, uygun teşhis ve laboratuvar çalışmalarının seçilip analiz edilmesi, koruyucu hekimlik yöntemleri ve ilgili tedavi yöntemleri gibi klinik konularda bilgi sahibidir, etik yaklaşım sergiler. Diş çürüğü teşhisini ve ayrımını yapar. Diş gelişimi hakkında bilgi sahibi olur. Süt dişlerinde kavite prensiplerini tanımlar. Süt ve sürekli dişlerin özelliklerini tanımlar. Çocuk hasta davranışlarını ve muayenesini öğrenir Süt dişi pulpa hastalıkları ve tedavi uygulamalarını bilir.
