OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: To explain and understand security issues through various theories, to trace back the origins as well as the evolution of each theory; to debate the critiques directed at these theories, to analyze theories comparatively through security case studies.
Contents of the Course Unit: Realism, Liberalism, English School, Constructivism, Critical Theories, Copenhagen School, Frankfurt School, Paris School, Globalization

Students taking this course define basic concepts and phenomena of international relations through various theories.
