Objectives of the Course Unit: | With this lesson; It is aimed to provide students with information about language disorders seen in the early language acquisition period. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The course covers models and definitions related to language disorders, as well as the stages of typical language development. It includes the concept of early intervention and its application in language development. The course also addresses the basic principles of assessment in language disorders, along with assessment tools and methods. Topics such as developing an intervention plan and the elements/methods used in language disorder interventions are explored. Specific language disorders such as delayed language and speech, developmental language disorder (specific language impairment), and autism are examined in detail. In addition, early intervention models, case examples, and discussions are included, followed by a general review. |
