OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to provide information about the fact that the management of the third sector organizations, which have neither the private sector's nor the public institutions' quality, has gained a critical importance and the organizational theory movements and management studies have gradually increased in this field. This course aims to provide the general information on organizations that aim to create a non-profit and social impact in organizational theory and to present the main concerns and general framework to be considered in the management of these organizations.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as identification of the third sector organizations, conceptual and historical review, its legal framework and relationship between the state; the relationship between public space, citizenship and civil society; audit, financing and human resources management of third sector organizations, crisis management and project management of them.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Differentiate the conceptual and legal differences between public sector, private sector and third sector organizations.
Define the legal and economic framework of third sector organizations.
Analyze the third sector organizations through concepts such as state, citizenship and public space.
Evaluate social responsibility projects carried out by the executive staff of non-governmental organizations.
Organize activities between public sector, private sector and third sector organizations.
