OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | The objective of this course is to introduce the students with the importance of Psychology , its functioning, its history, modern psychological approaches, research methods of psychology, and the main personality theories that shed light on the normal / abnormal behaviors and psychotherapy. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | The contents of this course include: definition of psychology, history of psychology, modern psychological approaches, subfields of psychology, psychological research methods, structure of the nervous system and its physiology, neonatal and childhood capacities, cognitive development, development of morality and judgment, theories related with personality and personality development, structural and topographic theory , self-defense mechanisms, sleep and dreams, sleep disorders, psychoactive substances, learning theories, psychiatric examination and presentation of various psychiatric disorders. |

Clearly indicate these approaches, their assumptions, approaches to growth and development, the perception of anxiety, and the ways in which they deal with anxiety. |

Recognize and interpret possible pathological conditions and interpret them in direction. |
