OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to help students gain the skills to apply basic techniques of free style and breaststroke styles in swimming.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course includes topics such as pool rules, standards of pool and other facilities, standards of materials used, physical differences between swimming and other branches of sports, breathing exercises, distant swimming in water, parallel standing in water, free style technique, breaststroke style technique.

Define basic concepts related to swimming.
Describe the pool rules and importance of pool rules.
Demonstrate the ability to stand parallel on the surface of water and to swim distant in water.
Apply the free-style and breaststroke arm stretching, stamp, and breathing techniques with proper timing and coordination.
