OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to equip students to be able to apply the basic techniques of hand, foot and elbow in Karate-do.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of the course includes Karate-do history, competition rules, Te-Waza, Uke-Waza techniques, Ashi-Waza technique, Empi-Waza technique, implementation forms of color belts, Kumite technique.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the basic concepts of Karate-do.
Describe the historical development of the Karate-do.
Describe and apply the Karate-do competition rules.
Apply Te-Waza, Uke-Waza, Ashi-Waza and Empi-Waza techniques specific to Karate-Do.
