OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain the ability to apply the advanced Sailing techniques, to teach the basic techniques and to prepare the training program
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; National and international Sailing competitions, place and importance of Sailing in Olympic games, sailing clubs and athletes in Turkey, injuries in sailing, errors made in sailing, advanced sailing techniques, sailing techniques in bad weather conditions, methods used to improve the performance of sailing athletes , special teaching techniques specific to sailing sport, daily, weekly, monthly and annual training programs specific to sailing sports.

Describe national and international sailing race rules.
Explain teaching methods of sailing sport techniques.
Apply advanced techniques used in sailing sport.
Teach basic techniques specific for Sailing.
Evaluate the fitness of the content of the program by interpreting the training programs specific to Sailing.
Prepare a training program for Sailing.
