OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to help students to organize the equipment and tools used for individual and team sports branches, to acquire knowledge and skills to evaluate the conformity of the facility regulations with the physical environment and technological innovations.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the concept of ergonomics, ergonomic structure of human body and its suitability to sports facilities, sports and facility constitution, planning and layout of sports facilities, characteristics of sports equipment and sports facilities, guidelines for structuring of sports facilities, occupational health and safety, ergonomic importance in terms of athlete injuries, importance of ergonomics in terms of injuries, team sports and facility ergonomics, individual sports and facility ergonomics, and sample facility projects.

Describe the concept of ergonomics and its characteristics
Identify the needs for planning sports facilities
Examine the suitability of the physical environment of sport facilities for individual use
Regulate the use of equipment for individual and team sports
Evaluate the suitability of plant layouts with physical environment and technological innovations
