OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to teach the basic techniques and game systems of volleyball to the students and to provide the knowledge and skill to prepare the volleyball training plan for the youth setup teams.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include general information about volleyball, general characteristics of volleyball, history of volleyball, warming up and basic postures specific to volleyball, basic techniques of volleyball, preparation of training plans for different age groups, team building and managing, volleyball game systems analysis.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Explain the tactics specific for volleyball.
Apply basic techniques of Volleyball at an advanced level.
Teach basic techniques of volleyball and game systems.
Apply volleyball game systems (attack, defense and service) in the training and game.
Examine and evaluate volleyball training plans for youth setup teams.
Prepare a volleyball training plan for youth setup teams.
