OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skill to apply the teaching steps specific to the Karate-do , to make the movement analysis of the techniques, and to prepare the Karate-do training plan.
Contents of the Course Unit: Content of the course covers Karate-do's historical development process, competition rules, Te-Waza and Uke-Waza techniques, Ashi-Waza technique, Empi-Waza technique, technical forms of color belts, theoretical and application principles to be observed in karate-do teaching,

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the basic concepts of Karate-do.
Describe the methodical and didactic principles to be observed in the teaching of Karate-do
Apply Te-Waza, Uke-Waza, Ashi-Waza and Empi-Waza techniques specific to Karate-Do at an expert level
Apply the teaching steps for karate-do and analyze the movements of the techniques.
Prepare a training plan for the Karate-do
