OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of the course is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out the responsibilities and duties of the coaching profession within the framework of ethical values.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course are the concepts and general information about coaching, Institutions and organizations that provide coaching education, Structure and example of coaching education in European Union, Role of various organizations in coach training, Coach training models in other countries, Qualifications and subjects that the coach should have and case studies.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define basic concepts related to coaching.
Explain the training methods with conditional features.
List the principles and methods of training program design in field applications.
Solve field applications and managerial problems related to coaching profession.
Use the responsibilities and duties required by the coaching profession (training practices, performance measurement and evaluation, selection of athletes, communication with athletes and their families, etc.).
