Objectives and Contents

Objectives: The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the poetry groups, independent poets, and late writers in the Turkish literature of the Republican era. In this way, to prepare students for text analysis studies.
Content: The content of the course includes literary societies such as the Garip poetry movement, the 2nd New poetry movement and some independent poets, Yaşar Kemal as our socialist realist writer in Turkish novel, Oğuz Atay as our author who started the postmodernist process in Turkish literature, and Bilge Karasu, one of our writers who wrote with brand new writing techniques. Selected texts of the artists whose names are mentioned are also included in the content of this course.
