Objectives and Contents

Objectives: It is aimed to introduce the science of measuring and quantifying the field and earth's crust in an analytical manner to the engineering and architecture students and teaching the basic measuring knowledge for these relevant applications.
Content: It includes the following topics; history of surveying, the measurement of field generally, measurement units and conversions, errors and error limits, simple measurement tools, application of lines, measuring length, calculation of area, dividing the parcels and border corrections, coordinate systems and basic studies, small point, neighbour point and reverse coordinate calculations, the calculation of the crossing point of two lines, founding of polygon, measurement and calculation, conversion of plane conversions, height measurement and calculation, tacheometric measurement, the application of structures to the foundation, reading maps.
