AMAÇ VE İÇERİK
Amaç:	The aim is to enable the orthotics-prosthetics technician to learn the machines and tools they can use and to become familiar with the materials used in orthopedic technology.
İçerik:	In the orthopedic prosthetics and orthotics workshop, machines, hand tools, and chemical materials are used in accordance with occupational safety rules. A negative model is created using plaster bandages. A positive model is obtained from the negative model using plaster of Paris. Orthoses are fabricated from polyethylene, polypropylene, and Throlen thermoplastics. Fastening materials such as Velcro, columns, rivets, and buckles are applied.

Classical and technological machines and equipment are used in orthopedic prosthetics and orthotics workshops.
They bend metals such as steel, aluminum, titanium, and copper used in orthopedic technology using a vise and pliers.
They acquire information about and apply plaster of Paris and plaster bandages.
They create a negative model using plaster bandages on the patient.
They obtain a positive model from the negative model.
They apply modeling techniques using a rasp on the positive model.
