AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills about the basic elements of maritime transportation such as cargoes, ships, ports and maritime enterprises.
İçerik: Contents of the course include the subjects as in the types and characteristics of cargoes carried by water, ship types and features used in maritime transportation, facilities and services of ports and terminals, Ship operation types: scheduled and non-scheduled maritime transportation.

Analyze the relationships between cargo, ship, port and maritime transportation types.
Compare the characteristics of scheduled and non-scheduled maritime transportation markets.
Plan a schedule.
Define ship operation and ship management, ports, port types, port facilities, port operations and services.
Define the characteristics of ships and ships in maritime transportation.
