AMAÇ VE İÇERİK

Amaç: This course aims to provide students to have knowledge about sociological theories, to comprehend the common features of theories, to analyze the structure of theories, to historical development and ideological basis, to understand and interpret the theories and analysis of sociologists.
İçerik: Contents of the course include; The concept of theory, common characteristics of the theories, intellectual roots and ideological foundations, theories of Change (Evolutionist, Equilibrium, Conflict and Decline), Functionalism, Conflict Theory, Social action theory, Shopping theory, Symbolic Interactionism.

Explains the historical development and common features of sociological theories
Classifies sociological theories
Comparse sociological theories
Analyses the structure of sociological theories
Reaches the fund of knowledge about sociological problems and compares the sociological research in the field from a theoretical perspective
Chooses the appropriate Sociological Theories in relation to social problems
