OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to teach various techniques and practices in the field of "Visual Communication Design" which is the dominant strength of computer and communication technology as a result of characteristic development of our century, introduce the use of Adobe Illustrator program according to these techniques, and have various works designed by using Gestalt Principles and Basic Design Elements and Principles.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include making simple illustrations using point and line as design element and rhythm and integrity as design principle, and to perform low poly art work as special day cards and final project.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Construct a visual composition in the design created.
Visualize creative thinking when creating a design.
Describe form and shape relation.
State a principle of Gestalt and Basic Design.
Give an example of various design elements and principles.
Compute Adobe Illustrator program at basic level.
