OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to apply the message transmission processes with different techniques by defining the initial terminology and basic principles and through use of typography as information.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the historical development and diversity of typography, letter anatomy, basic writing and typography principles, legibility and effective typography.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Know the terminology used in typographical design.
Explain the anatomical structures and typography history information of letters.
Define the main properties and differences of typefaces.
Demonstrate typographical responsibility awareness as information to be read.
