OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to introduce students to the capabilities of hospital information management systems and to provide them with knowledge of their effective use.
Contents of the Course Unit: The content of this course consists of the following topics: Introduction to Hospital Automation, Hospital Automation and Types of Computer Software, Databases and Features, Introduction and Types of Network Technologies, Historical Development of Hospital Information Management Systems, Development and Processes of Health Information Systems, E-Health and Digital Hospitals, Types of Hospital Information Systems, Clinical Information Systems, Decision Support Systems, Data Management and Patient Files.
