| Objectives of the Course Unit: | The aim of this course is to provide the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to distinguish, correctly pronounce, write and use medical and radiological terms related to the musculoskeletal system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, central nervous system, circulatory system, urogenital system and other organs. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Introduction to Medical Terminology; Basic Definitions and Terms Related to Human Structure, Rules for Reading Medical Terms, Connecting Letters, Elements that Make Up Medical Terms; Prefixes, Suffixes, Root Structures, Connecting Letters, Medical Abbreviations, Blood and Blood-Forming Organs, Lymphatic and Terms Related to the Immune System, Cardiovascular Terms Related to the System, Respiratory System Terms Related to the Digestive System, Eye Terms Related to the Urinary System, Genital Terms Related to the System, Ear Eponyms, Synonyms, Nervous System and Psychiatric Diseases, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders and Terms related to the Musculoskeletal System are discussed. |
