OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	Ortez protez teknikerinin kullanabildiği makinaları aletleri öğrenebilmesi ve ortopedi tekniğinde kullanılan malzemeleri tanıyabilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Contents of the Course Unit:	Ortopedik protez ve ortez atölyesinde makine, el aletleri ve kimyasal malzemeleri iş güvenliği kurallarına uygun bir şekilde kullanılır. Alçılı sargı bezi ile negatif model oluşturur. Negatif modelden toz alçı ile pozitif model elde eder. Polietilen, polipropilen ve throlen termoplastiklerden ortez elde eder. Velkro, kolon, perçin, rivet ve toka gibi saraciye malzemelerinin uygulamasını yapar.

Ortopedik protez ve ortez atölyelerinde kullanılan ekipmanlar, klasik ve teknolojik makineleri kullanılır.
Ortopedi tekniğinde kullanılan çelik, alüminyum, titanyum ve bakır gibi metalleri mengene ve grifa kullanarak büker.
Toz ve alçı sargı bezi hakkında bilgi edinir ve uygulamasını yapar.
Hasta üzerinden alçı sargı bezi ile negatif model oluşturur.
Negatif modelden pozitif model elde eder.
Pozitif model üzerinde raspa kullanarak modelaj yöntemlerini uygular.
Ortopedi tekniğinde kullanılan deri çeşitleri, tekstil malzemelerini istenilen ölçülerde kesip birleştirir.
Termoplastikler, reçineler, yapıştırıcılar ve kimyasallar hakkında bilgi sahibi olur.
