OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The aim of this course is to teach students the responsibilities and duties required by the coaching profession in an ethical framework.
Contents of the Course Unit: General information and concepts related to coaching, coach education, organizations that give coaching certificate, structure outline and example of coach education in the European Union, the role of various organizations in coach education, coach education models in other countries, the qualifications that the coach should have and case studies on the subject.

Defines the basic concepts related to coaching profession.
Explains conditional properties
Explains training methods
Summarizes the principles and methods of training program design in field applications
Solutions of field practices and administrative problems related to coaching profession
Applies the responsibilities and duties required by the coaching profession (training practices, performance measurement and evaluation, athlete selection, communication with athletes and their families, etc.) within the framework of ethical values.
