OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Understanding the basic methods which used in the evaluation of orthopedic problems and musculoskeletal injuries, gain application skills.
Contents of the Course Unit: General principles of treatment and rehabilitation for fractures, physiotherapy and rehabilitation for osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosan spondylitis and nonarticular rheumatoid diseases, physiotherapy and rehabilitation for degenerative joint diseases, endoprosthesis and rehabilitation processes, soft tissue injuries and rehabilitation processes, painful conditions of spine and rehabilitation, bandage and taping techniques.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Orthopedic problems can be defined.
Musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative joint disease can be explained.
There is information about the methods of orthopedic surgery, knows the points to be considered in post-operative period.
Knows the orthopedic problems and pathologies in general - implements specific assessment and evaluation methods.
For patients who have undergone or not orthopedic surgery patient's condition and apply the most appropriate physiotherapy and rehabilitation program.
