OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: It is aimed to gain knowledge and attitudes about the methods, measurement, technical devices and standards used in audiometric evaluation and calibration, technical features and application principles.
Contents of the Course Unit: Technical characteristics of audiometers, working principles, basic calibration application principles and standards used, technical working principles and calibration measurements of immittance-steric measuring instruments, basic technical features and basic application principles of objective test methods and instruments used mainly for diagnostic purposes in audiology.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describes the technical features of audiometers.
Describes the calibration standards of audiometers.
Performs calibration measurements.
Describes the technical features and standards of imitansmetric measuring instruments.
Lists the basic operating principles of the instruments to be used in objective measurement in audiology.
Describes to the calibration properties of electrophysiological test batteries.
