OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

Objectives of the Course Unit: | It is aimed to gain knowledge on a wide range of geriatric communication topics such as age-related auditory system theory, rehabilitative/therapeutic programs for presbycusis, and social support systems for geriatric communication disorders. |
Contents of the Course Unit: | Basic concepts and definitions of geriatrics, theories related to aging, presbycusis, auditory processing in the geriatric population, principles of hearing aid application, tinnitus and its etiology, rehabilitative / remedial programs for preabiacusis and social support systems for geriatric communication disorders. |
