OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce basic concepts and principles in the tourism industry.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include basic issues in the tourism sector as in Tourism and concepts in Tourism, development processes of Tourism till present day, International Tourism Movements, Types of Tourism, Economic, Social and Environmental Effects, National and International Tourism Institutions, Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Organizations, World Tourism Organization.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define tourism and tourist, tourism terminology and concepts of it.
Explain main effects of tourism on social, economic and environment areas.
Categorize types of tourism.
Explain touristic travels and factors inspiring them to choose a travel target.
Summarize national and international touristic movements.
Discuss main problems in tourism .
