OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to introduce theoretical knowledge necessary in guiding at the basic level within a term.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include historical development of Tourist guiding, qualities of guides, rights and liabilities of guides, code of ethics, occupational organization, types of guiding, touristic groups and their features.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define tourism and tour guiding concepts.
Plan organization, operation and management of a tour.
List tour types and their features.
Decide possible proper solutions for the problems occurring during tour.
Define structure, goal and operation of Tour guiding occupational organizations.
Explain, prepare and plan a touristic destination.
