OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to establish the mathematical model of the decision environment and to make operations on the model. This course aims to develop the ability to use quantitative techniques in order to assist the business manager in decision-making.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include the subjects such as understanding the management information system after the general introduction to definitions related to information systems; deciding the Decision Support System (DSS), which provides information technology and solution models to help decision-makers make semi-structural and non-structural decisions.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Decide effective decisions in uncertainty environment.
Understand the role of quantitative decision techniques on business decisions.
Use simulation techniques and non-linear programming techniques.
Choose the best among the alternatives in business problems.
Use linear programming and game theory techniques in business decision making.
Model management problems.
