OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: This course aims to improve the aptitude for being competent on foreign trade practices, socioeconomics, physical, environmental, political and legal difficulties they may confront, and reach the level of offering a solution to these difficulties, and follow the sectors prioritized in international trade by the state and get the right job in the working area in this direction.
Contents of the Course Unit: Content of the course include general view to foreign Trade, terminology and history of international commercial activities, significance of foreign markets in the macro level, dynamics of international markets, socioeconomics, physical and environmental difficulties in international markets, political and legal difficulties in international markets, packaging, logistic and insurance, foreign trade practices, payment practices in foreign trade, customs legislation and practices, sectors supported by the state in the field of international trade.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

List the necessity of integration to foreign markets item by item on the basis of micro and macroeconomics
Classify the packaging, logistics, insurance and customs practices in the foreign trade process over examples
Examine the right payment options for payment risks to be confronted in foreign trade
Compare working areas in which foreign trade practices are carried out by considering sectors supported by the state in international trade
