OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	This course aims to teach students the fundamental principles of the translation process, methods of source text analysis, and basic-level text translation, while enabling them to ethically integrate current artificial intelligence tools into their practice and to maintain their personal well-being throughout the translation process
Contents of the Course Unit:	The translation process; text analysis; use of dictionaries and corpora; equivalence problems; translation of basic-level informative and descriptive texts; fundamental artificial intelligence literacy and ethical boundaries; collaborative translation practices

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)
Define and explain the fundamental stages of the translation process (source text analysis, transfer, revision) and the concept of equivalence.
Translate simple informative and descriptive texts from the source language into the target language using dictionaries and corpus tools.
Analyze a source text in terms of genre, function, and context to identify potential equivalence problems.
Critically evaluate the outputs of AI-assisted translation tools in terms of ethical principles and accuracy.
Manage their own translation process in collaborative translation settings by incorporating peer feedback, while developing strategies to safeguard their personal well-being throughout the process.
