OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS
Objectives of the Course Unit:	The purpose of this course is to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge of translation and language skills acquired throughout their undergraduate education to real-world industry scenarios. The course aims to prepare students for the professional translation market by providing hands-on experience in a studio/workshop environment in analyzing specialized texts (legal, medical, technical, digital marketing, localization), effectively utilizing translation technologies (CAT tools, MTPE), and conducting editorial revision processes.
Contents of the Course Unit:	This course encompasses practical workshop activities conducted in a simulated translation agency and editorial setting. The content includes formulating translation strategies based on client briefs, bidirectional translation of diverse specialized texts, transcreation, as well as working with translation memories and Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE). Additionally, peer evaluation, editing, proofreading, and building a final translation portfolio constitute the core components of the course.

Students will be able to translate and localize texts across various specialized fields (legal, medical, technical, marketing) into the target language with appropriate style and terminology, utilizing client briefs and translation technologies (CAT tools, MTPE). Students will be able to critically evaluate and edit/proofread machine translation outputs, peer translations, and draft texts in accordance with linguistic accuracy, terminological consistency, and editorial quality standards.
