OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |

| Objectives of the Course Unit: | This course aims to enable the students to develop an awareness of the current environment-society relationship from a historical perspective and to comprehend the sociological dimension of environmental problems and the use and conservation of resources. |
| Contents of the Course Unit: | Contents of the course include; control of the natural environment, domination of nature and social regulation, nature-human relationship in the process of modernization, development of the relationship between environment and society and inter-societal differences, today's environmental problems and the search for solutions, the relation of environment with globalization, politics, economy or inter-societal inequality, sustainability and approach to sustainability. The course will also be supported by documentary screening. |
