OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to provide the students information to prepare a training plan specific to individual and team sports.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; concepts of performance, the importance of planning in terms of performance, general requirements in planning, relation between loading and recovery, over completion cycle and adaptation, unit training plan and features, meso cycle, psychological over completion, power training periodization, endurance training periodization and planning in team sports.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define the basic concepts of training planning.
Describe the importance of training planning in terms of performance.
Discuss the relationship between loading and recovery in training planning.
Apply training methods to develop basic motor skills.
Examine the training plans in individual and team sports and evaluate the appropriateness of content.
Prepare a training plan specific for individual and team sports.
