OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Objective of the course is to provide the students with the knowledge of the systems that constitute the human body, the basic concepts of the movement system and the main anatomical reference points.
Contents of the Course Unit: The contents of the course include; body organization, cells and tissues, tegmen system, skin, respiratory system, digestive system, circulatory system, urinary system, skeletal system, endocrine system, bone tissue and bones, muscle tissue, muscles and plane movements, lower extremity muscles, respiratory muscles and abdominal muscles, joint texture, joint movements, muscle roles, contraction types.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Define general concepts and terms related with anatomy.
Explain the musculo-skeletal system movements in anatomical terms.
Explain the systems that constitute the human body.
Explain the anatomical reference points in movement system such as axis, plane, bone, joint, ligament and muscle.
