OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to help students gain knowledge and skills to apply exercises for the fitness branch in advanced level and prepare a fitness exercise program.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; Fitness contest rules, the role of fitness trainers and communication skills, complementary exercises, physiological and psychological effects of different fitness training techniques and injuries, physiological and psychological effects of nutritional supplements in fitness training, cardiovascular exercises, exercises made with body weight, exercises made with exercise machines, fitness machines and free weights, errors and technical corrections made during applications for the fitness branch, exercise program planning principles before and after the fitness contest.

KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to)

Describe the categories and rules of the fitness competition.
Interpret the physiological and psychological effects of fitness trainings.
Discuss the physiological and psychological effects of nutritional supplements in fitness training.
Apply fitness exercises at an advanced level and with a correct technique.
Assess the technical validity of practices for fitness exercises.
Prepare exercise programs for the fitness branch.
