OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: The objective of the course is to teach the appropriate exercise methods for individuals with coronary diseases.
Contents of the Course Unit: Contents of the course include; coronary circulation, structure and organization of cardiovascular system, types of coronary heart diseases, cardiac cycle in exercise, exercise in coronary patients, problems that coronary patients may encounter during exercise, factors to be considered during exercise for coronary patients, benefits of aerobic training and exercise selection for coronary patients.

Define the coronary concept and medical terms related to heart diseases.
Describe the functioning of the cardiovascular system and the types of coronary heart disease.
Explain the methods involved in the regulation of blood pressure and heart rate during exercise.
Recognize the problems that individuals with coronary diseases may encounter during exercise.
Explain appropriate exercise methods for individuals with coronary diseases.
