OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
The purpose of the internship is for the student to become familiar with the design and production environment and techniques, to understand the business functions and structure, and to observe and gain experience in business and professional life by actually working in such an environment. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
The subject of Summer Internship I, which is held at the end of the second year, is the work areas where design, analysis, production and maintenance activities related to machines and/or aircraft are carried out. |
KEY LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE COURSE UNIT (On successful completion of this course unit, students/learners will or will be able to) |
Accordingly, the students will have acquired the following outcomes during the internship. 1. Being able to collect the following information about the company where the internship is conducted a. Company name and address, b. A brief history of the company explaining its development, c. Company's core vision, mission and purpose, d. General organization chart, 2. Being able to determine the company's fields of activity, 3. Being able to discuss the place of the company's sector in the national economy and its relations with relevant sectors. 4. Being able to draw the layout plan of facilities and/or hangars. 5. Being able to examine and explain basic production or workshop processes and operations. 6. Being able to examine and explain the software used in the company. 7. Being able to examine and explain basic production and/or maintenance processes. 8. Ability to examine and explain precautions for occupational safety and ergonomics in the factory or workplace (factors such as lighting, ventilation, heating, noise and humidity, working positions that occur while standing, sitting, carrying and loading, fatigue and tension due to production speed, arrangement of working and rest periods, etc.). |
