OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: Recognition of the content, duties and responsibilities, importance of the tourist guide profession, problems that may be encountered in professional life and solutions.
Contents of the Course Unit: It covers the teaching of the historical development of the concept of tourist guiding, the characteristics that guides should have, the rights and responsibilities of guides, professional ethics, professional organizations, types of guiding, tourist groups and their characteristics.

Defines concepts related to tourism and tourist guiding.
Understands the importance, characteristics and requirements of the tourist guide profession.
Defines the structure, purpose and functioning of tourism guidance professional organizations.
Decides on the most appropriate solution to problems that arise during the tours.
