OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS

Objectives of the Course Unit: 1.To provide a foundation for mathematics to serve as a basis for professional courses and apply it in the respective field. 2.To develop mathematical thinking skills. 3.To enhance problem-solving skills through mathematical modeling.
Contents of the Course Unit: Rational Numbers, Number Digits and Analysis, Base Arithmetic (Number Systems), Division - Divisibility Rules, Base Arithmetic (Numeral Systems), Division - Divisibility, Factorial, GCD (Greatest Common Divisor) - LCM (Least Common Multiple), Exponential Numbers (or Powers), Radical Numbers (or Roots), Modular Arithmetic, Factoring and Algebraic Identities, First- and Second-Degree Equations, Inequalities, Absolute Value, Ratio and Proportion
