OBJECTIVES AND CONTENTS |
Objectives of the Course Unit: |
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about planning, implementation and evaluation of behavior change strategies in gaining healthy lifestyle behaviors. |
Contents of the Course Unit: |
Concepts of health protection and development, social and cultural factors affecting health and disease, behavior change process: decision making; the role of the nurse in the decision-making process, behavior change process: starting behavior, starting behavior techniques, maintaining behavior: behavioral techniques that enable the individual to maintain his / her behavior, health promotion program: nutrition and weight control, the role of nutrition in health protection and development, factors affecting positive nutrition behaviors, roles of health personnel, health promotion programmatic development: exercise management coping with stress, health promotion program: health personnel roles, health promotion program: smoking cessation, health promotion program: behavioral techniques that facilitate smoking cessation, safe sexuality |
